If non-trawling fishing gear extends more than 150 m horizontally, an additional cone points towards the gear.

Fishing vessel lights (green over white or red over white), but NOT anchor lights, as the fishing lights take precedence. A vessel engaged in fishing at anchor shows the fishing vessel lights prescribed in Rule 26, NOT anchor lights. The fishing vessel lights indicate her status as engaged in fishing and restricted in manoeuvrability. Anchor lights would be redundant and confusing. However, if a vessel at anchor is NOT engaged in fishing (e.g. trawler sheltering with gear stowed), she shows standard anchor lights under Rule 30.
